Happy Birthday Weekend

Well, we had quite an eventfull weekend!  Friday night, some of our friends came over... we just relaxed, played some cards and had a few drinks.  They brought over some flowers, a bottle of wine, and some lottery cards for me.  How thoughtfull!!!  I saved the lotto tickets for my B-Day Date Night, and I just missed the $7,700 jackpot.  Rats!  Saturday was full of errands, followed by some relaxing and the most fabulous Birthday Dinner!!!!!

The hubs surprised me and took me to my favorite place, Fruition.  It is a charming restaurant located in a house.  They have their own farm and use all local products.   Love it!  We were greeted by the Matre'd, who sat us outside and brought us some bubbly to sip as we waited.  It was quite delightful.  We then reminiced about the last time we were there..... last year for my birthday!  We were there about a week before our wedding, and it was such a fun time.  Crazy what happens in a year!

Anyways, Brian got a beer, I got wine, and we started the meal off withtheir delicious bread and butter topped with sea salt, oregano and thyme, ... followed by Pork Belly Pasta Carbonera.  YUM!  Then, this is how we did it:

• The Mr. & MRs. ~ French Pressed Coffee with some chocolate and ice cream deliciousness (accompanied by a candle, and our neighbors and Brian singing Happy Birthday to me :)  They thought we were on our 5th date, haha.  My ring is in the shop so the lady didn't have anything to go off of.  It was hilarious after a bit, they started giving us relationship advice for our marriage, and then the guy thought, hey, we are the divorced ones here... maybe we should listen to them ;)  They were a cute couple, we wished them many more happy dates!  It was the best 25th Birthday Dinner for sure :)  

     Sunday, was little Effy's Birthday, and boy did we have a big day.  I'm sure he will tell you all about it on Friday!!  We  Brian did manage to squeeze in some home made pancakes before we began our day; half regular, half chocolate chip.  Of course the rest of the day was full of hanging with Frankie, but we did manage to stain the fence, go for a bike ride, and hop in the pool.  I can't tell if I stained my feet, or if I just have a really cool flip-flop tan line.  I guess we'll find out after a few showers.   Bed sure felt good last night.  Toodle oos!
