Well, it is Spring time in the Rockies, .... and March is historically the month with the most snowfall, so I guess NO woo! The weather is a cool day here, 60 here, 65 and sunny there, and then 35 and snowy the next day. Yep, that was kinda like last week. Spring time is just taunting us! We have been rather busy with the house, work, and little Frankie J. I have to say, Frankie has been spending a little too much time with Brian .... I come downstairs and find them both on the couch watching TV. It looks something like this:
Pathetic, I know... or maybe cute? They are definitely cute. All I can do is laugh.
Anyways, another fun feature FJ has picked up on is burping. After eating dinner last night I hear this loud burp. I thought, surely Brian didn't sneak in with out me seeing him ... nope, it was Frankie. And he did it again tonight. What a gentleman!
We pretty much got everything finalized with the house last week. It was quite funny, as we were reviewing the options, we came upon a line that said SOLAR PANELS. Oh. My. Gosh. You should have seen our faces, we looked disgusted! We both blurted out, "absolutely not! We need to support our cause - natural gas of course. We passed on the solar panels and encourage you too as well :) Last Thursday, we went to pick out our granite slab. It was quite the interesting process. You have to have your hard hat on, and you enter this enormous room full of... well, granite slabs. We have 3 slabs reserved, they came all the way from Brazil, and according to the coding system, they passed through the Houston Port. What a trip those slabs have made, we will be glad to have them in our cozy little home here in Colorado. Here is a sneak peak at our slab:
We are going to do a Natural Stone in a brick laid style for our back splash. The stone will also be around our fireplace. I'm super excited to see how it turns out! Here are a few of our other selections:

On Friday, we started off at Jing for some dinner with friends, and then walked over to the Comedy Club. Talk about your cheeks hurting!!! We saw Bob Sugar from Jerry McGuire (I don't know his real name - Zac Mohr?) and some other dude that opened for him. He was hilarious, better than the star of the show!!!!!! We are definitely going again! Jing had a cool atmosphere, but it was kind of like your typical P.F Chang's. We got Kung Pao Beef, Sushi and some Sake. If you ever need a little laughter in your life, or a good ab workout, check out the comedy shows.
Saturday we walked a couple blocks to Coors Field and watched the St. Patty's Day Parade with Frank. He was pretty excited about it. Then we ran errands like crazy, and checked out a few furniture stores. W saw one couch that we loved for about $8,500. It was nice to look at, but I would rather go to Hawaii four times than have that couch. It ended up being cold and dreary, so we stayed in and made Pizza.
Sunday was a GRRRRREAT day! We were on our way to check out the house when we saw a sign for a blow out sale at Ultimate Electronics. Might as well check out the bargains, right? We saw refrigerators that were perfect and over half off - if only we had the measurements. RATS! We did walk out with a 55" LED TV to hang above our mantel. It was a steal of a deal, especially since we were in the market for a 46"- and it was cheaper than that! Happy New House to Us! Brian found a yummy recipe for lasagna that you cook in the dutch oven and transfer to the real oven, so that is what we had for dinner last night, accompanied by a great salad, blackberries, and ciabatta bread:
