Happy Heart Weekend

Two weekends ago Brian and I celebrated our Valentine's Weekend.  I like to think we celebrate it every day, though ;)  It all started Friday Night with a great dinner at Tommy's Thai - one of our fav's.  It's always amazing, cheap, cozy and reliable on a chilly night.  Then on Saturday, we Brian made some wonderful breakfast tacos, we ran errands like crazy, hit up Encore for a little happy hour (woo HH!), 

browsed through the Tattered Cover Book Store, played with Frank, made some cocktails and appetizers at home,

busted out the WII Bowling, danced around to the music and made one scrumptious garlic and rosemary T-bone steak served over fresh arugula!  YUM!  It was delicious.  We love making our V-Day dinner at home, and would rather go out to a fancy one randomly for no reason other than I love to eat.   Sunday morning we popped out of bed, took Frankie for a run, and then headed down to LoLa for their a-mazing brunch:)  Here is how it went down:


The App:

• Table-side guacamole with way too many chips

The Mrs:

• Seafood frittata:  shrimp, crab, green chiles, diablo aioli and cadillac goat cheese with some tators 
• Mexican Mimosa (tequilla, Dos Equis, freshly sqeezed orange juice and a lime... ahhh!

The Mr.

• Tecate
• Chicken and Waffles:  buttermilk brined fried chick, chorizo gravy and cherry-fresno syrup

We did some great people watching and then we rolled home and watched a movie :)  And lived happily ever after.
