An Eggscellent Weekend

Last weekend was rather enjoyable....I had a four day weekend, and Brian had a three day weekend. We ran some errands, and Brian tried really hard to convince me he needs one of these:
...... I don't think so.  I told him we need some acreage before he can have one of those.  He thinks it is meant to be because it would fit in the gate.   Nice try, Buddy!

Friday night, we went to happy hour at LoLa, a Coastal Mexican Place.  We started chatting with the two guys next to us, and lone behold, one of them actually lives in the building across from us!  Great guys -  mid 30's, and investment bankers.  What a small world it is!!  Our neighbor offered to buy us a round of drinks, so we stayed for a few, and next thing we knew - we were on our way to meet up for pizza with them  at Marco's Coal Fired Pizza.  We were testing it against our all time fave, Protos Wood Fired Pizza.  We took a cab and met our neighbors there. One of their friends and girlfriends joined us, and we ordered four pizzas, some beer and a bottle of wine.  The verdict is in; Proto's is a win.  Our neighbors sure know how to have a good time, though.  We had a blast, and they picked up the tab too - way to go us for date night!  HAHAHA.
Saturday, we watched more of our new show, Entourage ( I highly recommend - both Brian and I love it), and got some take out from Proto's.  We went to bed early so we could enjoy Easter Sunday.  4:30 A.M. sure came early!  We made the trek out to the Sunrise Service at Red Rocks.  It was a beautiful service, with a beautiful sunrise.

A little white birdie watched the whole thing .. a dove?

If you look in the distance, you can see downtown.

After we got out out of there, we took lil Frank to Wash Park.  He went crazy between all of the birds and the goose poop.  It made for an exhausting walk!!  Then we went and met Pat and Jordan at Lucille's for some good ole' creole breakfast - it was amazing!

Thanks for the nice brunch and company gals!  By that time, we were so stuffed, we came home and crashed on the couch.   Then, of course, we had to do some of that domestic stuff ya know .... iron, clean, fold clothes - that sort of stuff.   We broke it up with dying some easter eggs and going to play fetch at our park with Frankie.  Hope your day was Eggscellent too :)
